Stories for children of all Ages
 

As storyteller, Taylor-Gaines delights and captivates audiences of all ages as she tells African and African-American folktales and stories that stress the power and importance of respecting self and others, being mentally sharp, getting an education, and being of service to the world. Taylor-Gaines has performed as storyteller at the Bank Street College of Education, the Museum of Natural History, and the Brooklyn Museum in New York City. She has also performed at the Bridge Crossing Jubilee commemorating the Selma to Montgomery March in Selma, Alabama, at parenting and early childhood conferences throughout the United States, and at the Tototo Women’s Center and at the Wema Centre for Children in Kenya, East Africa.
